We are proud to celebrate Dominic Agyili, a PhD researcher at CAIRLab KNUST, and his team on their impressive performance at the Ghana Data Science Regional Hackathon 2026.
Under Dominic's leadership as Team Lead, the team secured two awards:
🥇 Best Average F1
🥇 Best Peak F1
The team worked on predicting building ages from satellite imagery. They trained their model using data from Madrid and tested its ability to generalise to Amsterdam.
The challenge required the team to develop a solution that could perform effectively across different geographic settings.
